Dr. G Anuhya Reddy (also known as Kalabandhu Anuhya Reddy; Born March 13, 1984), Chairperson - HRCI (Human Rights Council of India), South Region, Tollywood Stylist & Producer, Foundress of Kovida Sahrudaya Foundation and Director of Kovida Groups India, USA INC, UAE LLC.
Dr. G Anuhya Reddy is the recipient of the Global Women’s Development Award from UNICEF. She is passionate about charity for women and children who are in desperate need of food, and daily needs. She intends to ease the suffering of people around her and in society. By profession, she is an industrialist, Tollywood (Telugu Films) producer, and stylist in the fashion designing industry. She is well revered in the community and as a sign of respect, she has been appointed as working chairman for the Human Right Council of India (HRCI), South Region, Advisory Board Member for Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Mandira Nirmana Nidhi Abhiyan, Vice-President of Rashtriya Samajik Samrasta Sangathan since 2021, State Secretary for Minority Morcha, and Vice-President for Spiritual Wing - Namo Mission Vande Gau Mataram Trust. With the passion she has for philanthropy she has founded Kovida Sahrudaya Foundation to ease the suffering in society and to help the needy.
Biography:
Dr. G Anuhya Reddy is from Sidhartha Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana. She is a recipient of the Women’s Achievement Award and Recipient of the Global Women’s Development Award from UNICEF. Anuhya started her charity work through Kovida Sahrudaya Foundation in 2014 and provided pregnant women with nutritious food during and after their gestation period. She also organized baby showers for those who cannot afford them. She started with small steps which over the years have grown into an initiative that wants to reach more women in need. Initially, when Anuhya started her efforts in 2014, she was able to help 12 pregnant women. Now her efforts have grown significantly and she is helping more women who need support in times of pregnancy. Now she takes care of 56 women a year and is happy in helping them, she says. During the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown last year, her philanthropic efforts were expanded to more people and areas. As many were stranded and did not even have access to food, she stepped forward and extended a helping hand to many. She provided food to many people who are diagnosed with cancer and were suffering during the Covid lockdown as all food outlets remained shut. During the pandemic, she has helped many people irrespective of prejudices such as caste, religion, and region. Her work has even reached the remote areas of tribals, in several parts of the state. She is known as a designer with a great heart and human touch.
